Seth Williams
Director
Seth has over 18 years’ experience across the public and private sector having started his career in local authority with Aylesbury Vale District Council and South Bedfordshire District Council before moving in to planning consultancy first with DLP Planning and then with WYG (latterly rebranded as Tetra Tech), and joining Smith Jenkins as a Director in 2023. He is a Chartered Town Planner and holds a Batchelors degree in Architecture from the University of Sheffield and a Masters degree in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University.
Seth has a broad range of experience across sectors and geographies, and particularly working with residential developers, housebuilders and landowners across the Cambridge-Oxford Arc. He has considerable experience in project managing and leading teams to deliver strategic scale development proposals through the plan-making and application process, including notable recent successes in delivering a 1250 home garden village proposal in Hertfordshire and a retirement care village in Bedfordshire. He also has notable experience in rural planning, working with landowners to realise the value of their landholdings, and within the healthcare sector, working with a number of NHS Trusts to deliver permissions for new hospitals, healthcare facilities and estate redevelopment.
He benefits from a detailed comprehension of the planning system and an ability to strategise and find solutions to meet clients’ aspirations. This is founded on his strong understanding of the planning system, an analytical mind and an adeptness for problem-solving combined with a tenacity and desire to deliver results.
